Platform overview
What is Gamz?
Gamz is an all-in-one platform for running and managing social sport competitions. Gamz Engine helps organisers manage competitions, while Gamz Connect keeps players informed and engaged.
What’s the difference between Gamz Engine and Gamz Connect?
Gamz Engine is where organisers set up and manage competitions. Gamz Connect is where players access published competitions, fixtures, results and updates.
How does information from Engine appear in Connect?
Competition information appears in Connect once it has been published online from Gamz Engine.
Is Gamz cloud-based?
Yes. Gamz is a cloud-hosted platform accessed via web and mobile applications, with no onpremise installation required.
Pricing and billing
How does pricing work?
Gamz is priced as a flat fee per venue subscription, with unlimited users, competitions, teams, players and playable spaces included.
Are there any additional costs?
Transaction fees apply to paid registrations, and SMS usage is optional and pay-as-you-go. Optional integrations may have additional costs.
Do you offer multi-venue pricing?
Yes. Operators managing multiple venues can request a tailored multi-venue quote.
What happens if we cancel our subscription?
If you cancel your Gamz subscription, your access to the platform will continue until the end of your current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
What happens if we don’t renew our subscription?
If your subscription is not renewed, your account will be closed and access to the platform will be removed. We recommend exporting any required data before your subscription ends, as data may be deleted after closure in accordance with our Terms.
Operations
Can we manage multiple venues under one login?
Yes. Gamz supports multi-venue operations and organisation-wide reporting for operators managing multiple sites.
Can we publish fixtures, results, statistics and ladders on our own website?
Yes. Competitions can be published online so fixtures, results, ladders and statistics can be shared publicly or embedded into your website where supported.
Can playable spaces be divided into multiple smaller spaces?
Yes. You can configure playable spaces to reflect how your venue operates, including splitting a space into multiple courts or fields where needed.
Can we manage multiple competitions and sports?
Yes. Gamz supports multiple competitions and sports under the one organiser setup, allowing you to manage everything from a single platform.
Can we import existing competition data?
Yes. We can assist with importing historical or existing competition data where feasible. Contact our team to discuss your requirements.
Can competitions be private or restricted?
Yes. You can control whether competitions are published publicly or only visible to invited participants, depending on how you configure your competition settings.
Can player details be hidden or restricted?
Yes. You can control how participant information is displayed, including restricting visibility of player details or using aliases instead of full names where appropriate
Can we have multiple admins or staff accounts?
Yes. Gamz supports multiple users per organisation.
Can we control staff permissions?
Yes. You can assign user roles and permissions so staff only access the areas and features relevant to their role.
Online Registrations & Payments
How long does it take to set up online registrations?
Online registrations can be set up quickly from within Gamz. Most organisers can configure and start accepting registrations within minutes.
Is there an additional cost for online registrations?
Registrations for free competitions or $0 transactions incur no platform fee. For paid registrations, a 2.9% platform fee applies per transaction, plus standard payment processor fees.
Where do registration payments go?
Payments are processed securely via your connected payment provider (for example Stripe), and funds are paid directly to your organisation’s account.
Can we require payment during the registration process?
Yes. You can configure registrations to require payment at checkout so participants must complete payment before their registration is confirmed.
Can we customise the registration form?
Yes. You can control what information is collected during registration, allowing you to tailor forms to suit your competition or organisation requirements.
Who sets refund policies?
Refund policies and decisions are set by the competition organiser
Player Access
What do players use Gamz Connect for?
Players use the Gamz mobile app for quick access to fixtures, game times, results and ladders for published competitions.
How do players register or manage their details?
Registrations, payments and account management are completed through the Gamz Connect web app login.
Data, privacy and security
Who owns the competition data?
Organisers generally control the competition data they manage. Gamz processes that data to deliver the service.
Where is data stored?
Personal information is primarily stored on secure servers located in Australia and may also be processed or stored in other jurisdictions where service providers operate, as outlined in the Privacy Policy.
Can we export our data?
Yes. Organisers can export data through reporting tools or request a copy in accordance with the organiser Terms.
Support and reliability
Do we receive ongoing support?
Yes. We provide support via our ticketing system and resources such as guides and videos. Our team aims to respond within advertised support timeframes.
Do you offer onboarding?
Yes. Trial and new customers can receive onboarding guidance to help them get set up smoothly.
Is Gamz reliable?
Gamz is actively maintained and designed to be reliable and dependable. Availability targets and remedies (if applicable) are outlined in the Service Level Agreement.
Can Gamz be customised to our workflows?
Gamz is configurable through settings, roles and competition options. For more specific requirements, contact us to discuss possibilities.
Is Gamz compliant with security standards?
Gamz follows industry best practices for security, including encryption, access controls and regular updates. More detail is available in our Privacy Policy and Service Level Agreement.
Add-ons and integrations
What are add-ons?
Add-ons are optional partner integrations (for example, game-day tools like scoreboards or check-in) that extend Gamz.
How do I get started with add-ons?
Add-ons can be enabled as part of your Gamz setup. If you’re interested in an integration such as electronic scoreboards, mobile scoresheets or player check-in, contact our team and we’ll guide you through availability, setup and pricing.

Yes. Gamz has an API. The API documentation page is coming soon. In the meantime, email support@gamz.com.au and we’ll help.
